Company presents "CARMEN" by G. Bizet. The play is set in Seville around the year 1830, starring a beautiful gypsy with a fierce temperament. The story of Carmen and Don José, an inexperienced soldier who rebels against his superiors for love and ends up joining a band of smugglers, is marked by the free and untamable love of its protagonist and the jealousy that drives Don José to murder
Carmen. This will be the 22nd season in Madrid where the BALLET FLAMENCO DE MADRID company presents "CARMEN," the classic by G. Bizet, setting a record for the number of performances in Madrid theaters, with over 4,000 performances and an attendance of over 1,700,000 spectators. BALLET FLAMENCO DE MADRID returns to Madrid.
